October, 1972. When a graduate student's body turns up in the woods outside Cinder Ridge, Ohio, Deputy Anne Becker knows two things: the official story is wrong, and the truth is something her town has been hiding for a century.

FBI Special Agent Nicole Russo arrives expecting a routine animal attack on federal land. What she finds instead is a deputy who knows far more than she's saying, a community sealed shut by fear and faith, and evidence that defies every category in the Bureau's handbook.

Anne has spent her whole life looking away from what lives in the woods. Nicole has spent hers refusing to believe in anything she can't photograph and file. Neither of them is prepared for what waits in the Grove.

The Woods Remember is a folk horror supernatural thriller set in the hills of Appalachian Ohio — a story about two women who shouldn't trust each other, can't afford not to, and are running out of time to decide which world they're willing to burn down to save the other.
